Response
Hastings Borough Council only covers Health and Safety in Beauticians.
We have received no complaints about these premises and inspections are carried out on semi-permanent make-up premises before they trade. Further aesthetic procedures do not fall under our remit.
The General Medical Council regulates procedures such as Botox. Other procedures, such as fillers, are not currently covered, although there is research being carried out to develop new regulations for local authorities in the future.
East Sussex County Council Trading Standards and Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners may be able to offer further information relating to this request.
