Street cleaning schedule for St. Andrews Square and surrounding streets

I would like to request the following information regarding street cleaning services in the following areas.

I made the same request in November 2024, but I have since been told by the Hastings Waste team that the schedule has been changed, but they will not provide me with the new schedule. Hence requesting again.

a. St. Andrews Square, Hastings

b. Brook Street, Hastings

c. Waldegrave Street, Hastings

d. Mann Street, Hastings

For each area, I would like to know:

1. Is there a regular street cleaning scheduled?

2. If so, how frequently is the cleaning conducted?

3. On what days or times is the cleaning typically carried out?

4. When was the last scheduled cleaning completed for this area?

5. Are there any criteria used to determine cleaning frequency for specific areas, such as proximity to dumpsters or high footfall?

This information is essential for understanding the maintenance of public spaces in St. Andrews Square and ensuring transparency in council services.

The answers are the same for all 4 roads.

3. Monday – Friday AM, Saturday/Sunday Litter Bins/Litter Pick Only AM.

Litter Pick daily.

Sweeping 2-3 days per week or as and when required following inspections.

3x Litter Bins emptied 7 days per week.

Rapid Response check Bulk Bin site and remove fly tipping from the area daily with additional removals following reports, Monday - Friday, every other Saturday/Sunday.

Weed Removal ad hoc clearing.

All additional cleansing tasks carried out following reports.
