Responded Tue 24 December 2024I am seeking information on the following points:1. The council's Empty Dwelling Management Order or plans to address empty dwellings.2. Availability of land surveys, topographic surveys, feature and level surveys, and ecological surveys from the developer.3. Confirmation regarding the allocation of affordable housing within the development.4. Traffic control measures during construction and post-development.5. Details about the open space/child-friendly area and any planned amenities.6.The location of the second entrance and associated traffic control measures.7. Investigations into school placement capacity for the anticipated influx of children.8. Investigations into additional demands for healthcare, dental, and shopping facilities.

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding.
None of the details requested have been submitted to the Council by the developer. The Council is aware of the Consultation leaflet and would expect the information requested to be submitted in any forthcoming planning application. But to date a planning application has not been submitted. There are two historic planning applications relating to this site, determined in 2008. The reference numbers are HS/OA/06/00823 & HS/FA/07/00878 and the documents submitted with these applications are publicly available online via the Council's website here: https://www.hastings.gov.uk/planning/searching/
Hastings Borough Council do not currently make use of Empty Homes Management Orders due to their amount of resource and capacity they require without a guaranteed outcome. We are however reviewing our approach to Empty Homes as part of the new Housing Strategy consultation which is due to complete by June 2025.
