I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from the council.

Please may you provide me with:

1. The number of penalties issued to parents in relation to unauthorised absences.

2. The number of penalties issued to parents in relation to unauthorised holidays.

3. The number of staff whose role involves issuing penalties for unauthorised absences.

I would like the data broken down for the last five years, with a year-end date of 5 April or whichever year-end is most convenient.

If this cannot be provided I would like the annual data for the last three years or, failing that, the last two.
