Scheduled Monument Consents obtained by HBC for works in Scheduled Monument on East Hill Hastings

There are currently excavation works being carried out by Hastings Borough Council to install new notice boards and signposts in the Scheduled Ancient Monument on the East Hill Hastings.

Can you please provide me with the details of all Scheduled Monument Consents obtained by HBC in the last 5 years from January 2018 to date for any works within this Scheduled Monument on the East Hill Hastings.

Response

The installation of notice boards at Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve was undertaken by Groundwork South.

A copy of the scheduled ancient monument consent for the works in 2023 granted to Groundwork South is attached. All applications for consent have been made by Groundwork South, not Hastings Borough Council.

Hastings Borough Council holds no copies of consents prior to 2023.
