Dog fouling incidents

I hereby request the following information held in any format, for the period 01/01/2019 to 31/07/2023:

1. The total number of Dog fouling incidents per year in St Leonards-on-Sea, reported to Hastings Borough Council.

2. The total number of fines per year issued by the local authority, in respect of Q1.

3. The total number of court cases per year against an offender, resulting from Q1.

Response

1. We cannot break down into Hastings/St Leonards, therefore the figures in the attached spreadsheet are the total amount received within the borough during the timeframe requested.

2. 2x dog fouling fixed penalty charge notices were issued in St Leonards in this period, however, there have been no dog control orders in place since June 2020. A new order has been approved by Cabinet and it should be back in place by October.

3. None.
