I would like an answer to the following questions:

1. Does your council currently offer a food waste collection service to its residents?

If yes, please answer questions 2 to 4. If no, please answer questions 5 to 6.

2. What percentage of households in your council are provided with this food waste collection service?

3. What type of food waste collection do you provide? (For example, where do you collect the food waste from and how often?)

4. How long have you been providing a food waste collection service to residents?

5. In line with the Environment Act 2021, when will you provide a food waste collection service to your residents?

6. Please state the reason why you do not currently provide a food waste collection service to your residents?

5. We are currently working to an implementation date of March 2025, although this depends on clarification from central government on service configuration and funding arrangements.

6. Hastings Borough Council does not currently have the available funding required to operate a food waste collection service.
