Taxi Licensing Fees

I am conducting a local survey into taxi licensing fees and the decline in driver numbers in order to assist with a report I am compiling regarding fees in our local area.

I wonder if you could please supply me with the numbers of licensed drivers you have had for the following years: 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022?

It would be helpful if these were separate for both Hackney Carriage and Private Hire drivers (unless you licence dual drivers as some do).

Please could you also assist in supplying the number of licensed vehicles (Hackney Carriage and Private Hire) for the same years?

2018 - 431 Private Hire - 60 Hackney Carriage - 188 Drivers

2019 - 427 Private Hire - 60 Hackney Carriage - 321 Drivers

2020 - 398 Private Hire - 61 Hackney Carriage - 373 Drivers

2021 - 373 Private Hire - 58 Hackney Carriage - 181 Drivers

2022 - 368 Private Hire - 60 Hackney Carriage - 328 Drivers

Hastings Borough Council issues 1 and 3 year drivers licences which are dual licences.
