This is an information request relating to home workers at the council.
Please include the following information:
1. The number of staff that currently work employed by the council that are contractual home workers.
2. The number of contractual home workers employed by the department in each of the last three financial years (2019-20, 2020-21, and 2021-22).
By 'contractual home workers' I mean employees who have it written into their contracts that their normal working arrangements are to work from home.
3. The daily occupancy rate of the council offices during September, October, and November (2022).
The occupancy rate could be either the number of desks or workspaces booked per day through a hot-desking system as a percentage of the total number of desks, or it could be the percentage of eligible card-holders who have access to the council offices who have access it during this period.
Hastings Borough Council does not have any contractual home workers.
Please see below the number of individual users that fobbed into council offices at any given time during the months being requested:
September 2022 - 285 users
October 2022 - 286 users
November 2022 - 289 users
The numbers given are the number of individual users that accessed the building during that month, for example in October 285 different users fobbed into the building during that month at any given time. This includes members of staff, tenants, cleaners, contractors, and so on.
Hastings Borough Council has 304 staff excluding casuals. 30 of these are staff that work for waste, foreshore and at the cliff railways which are not office based.
