I am a researcher at Newcastle University interested in looking at Houses of Multiple Occupation and health outcomes.

I am trying to find details of the locations of HMOs in all English Local Authorities for a research study. As the data is not easily accessible centrally, I am having to request the information individually from all Local Authorities in England (which is as you can imagine a very large task!).

Would it be possible for you to please provide me with some high-level data on HMOs from your Local Authority in downloadable form? Ideally I would need the postcode of the HMO (essential), the maximum bedrooms and occupancy (desirable) in an electronic Excel format as I will be combining all the Local Authorities into a single dataset.

I can see the searchable registry on your website, but I need all the HMOs in a pdf or Excel spreadsheet so I can collect all the records.

Hastings Borough Council is unable to provide the information in Excel format, unless you can provide evidence that you hold an Ordnance Survey licence covering addresses in the Hastings area.
