FOI request (FOIR-466712184)
HS/FA/22/00335
Requested Mon 21 November 2022
Responded Fri 25 November 2022New security fencing to Old London Road and Dudley Road boundaries | Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Old London Road, Hastings, TN35 5NA
On page 2 of the committee report for this case it is stated:
'there have been multiple break ins and examples of people climbing over the walls, with associated drug paraphernalia being found inside the school premises.'
Where did this information come from? Under FOI, or otherwise, please provide the relevant statistics or explain the sources. The DAS mentions 'trespassers' and 'alcohol and drug paraphernalia', but how did the committee report arrive at its assertions?
On the same page it is stated Lord North was Marianne North's father - which is very '1066 And All That'.
Again on the same page is this misstatement:
'The Old Town Conservation comprises the medieval port of Hastings, with its many eclectic buildings.'
It all adds to HBC's reputation for unreliability.
(Additionally, the committee report states that there was a press notice but not where it was placed, and does not reproduce it.)
Response
Section 2 states in the committee report where the information is from, 'The applicant states that this is necessary to safeguard the children in the school, as there have been multiple break ins and examples of people climbing over the walls, with associated drug paraphernalia being found inside the school premises.'
All other content are observations which are not requests for recorded information.
