Responded Tue 26 April 2022Hopefully you can be of assistance. ****** has been commissioned to undertake a flood risk assessment and drainage strategy for the site shown in the attached location plan. The site is allocated within the Hastings Draft Local Plan (Site HL9), will comprise of a residential-led mixed use development and has an approximate grid reference of 578675E, 108734N.
We have also requested information from the Environment Agency, East Sussex County Council and Southern Water but we would be very grateful for the following information where available:
1. Any records of flooding in the vicinity of the site.
2. Any maps or information on surface water flood risk other than those held by the Environment Agency.
3. As above for groundwater flood risk.
4. Maps or information regarding local land drainage systems.
5. As above for highway drainage systems.
6. Information on the local strategy for dealing with surface water.
7. Any information on infiltration drainage potential at the site.
8. Types of SuDS likely to be acceptable for adoption.
9. Any runoff restrictions that may apply at this location (over and above requirements set out in NPPF), for example, Critical Drainage Areas.
10. Anything else you feel is relevant that an FRA would need to consider.
11. We would also be interested in your current policy with regards to the new EA climate change guidance.
