FOI request (FOIR-397299587)
Source of statistics displayed on twitter
Requested Mon 31 January 2022
Responded Tue 01 February 20221. Please could you answer my request for the source of your statistics for the post on twitter (January 25th 2022, 1pm) that reads 'If you're unvaccinated, you're about 8 times more likely to be hospitalised with COVID-19 than if you've had both doses of the vaccine and the booster.'
I can't find any government statistics to back this up and you haven't given a source or evidence for your claim.
2. Please could you answer whether the text reading 'If you're unvaccinated, you're about 8 times more likely to be hospitalised with COVID-19 than if you've had both doses of the vaccine and the booster', was written by Hastings Council, a specific employee within Hastings Council or if it came pre-supplied or suggested by the source of the flyer.
3. On the actual flyer, featuring the text 'I SHOULD HAVE GOT THE VACCINE, INSTEAD I GOT REALLY ILL', what illness is being referred to?
