CCTV camera coverage and expenditure

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information.

1. The total number of CCTV cameras currently operated by the council.

2. The total amount spent on the installation and maintenance of CCTV cameras in the 2020 calendar year.

Response

Hastings Borough Council no longer has an operational CCTV control room but does own 121 cameras. The operation of the vast majority of these sits with Sussex Police.

The annual cost for maintenance is budgeted at around £55,000 per financial year.
