1.  Have you declared a climate emergency? 

Answer: Yes

2 a. Do you have an action plan or strategy (or equivalent) related to net zero goals?

Answer: Yes

b. If yes, is 'Spatial Planning' featured within the action plan/strategy?

Answer: Yes

3. a. Does your 'Local Plan' reflect net zero targets?

Answer: No

b. if yes to what year?

Answer: N/A

4. a. Do you have an in-house sustainability (or equivalent) officer/s supporting local planning policy, if yes, the number of officers?

Answer: 1 x FTE

b. Who is the key contact at your council?

Answer: The  Planning Policy team - fplanning@hastings.gov.uk

5. a. What tools do your planners use to support climate planning policy and delivery in your authority?   

Answer:  We use  the adopted Local Plan: please see Hastings Planning Strategy part 4 chapter 6 Policies SC1-SC7 via link http://www.planvu.co.uk/hbc2015/written/cpt6.htm

b. Do your planning officers receive climate literacy training or equivalent?

Answer: Yes

c. Do you use climate change mitigation as a material consideration in balancing planning applications? 

Answer:  Yes Deadline (September) has passed for taking part in a short anonymous survey - sadly we would not have had time to take part.
