Local Green Space

Responded Fri 30 July 20211. The number, name (where known), location and size of areas designated as 'Local Green Space' (in accordance with the definition set by the NPPF) within current (adopted or made) development plan documents within your local authority area.
2. Which development plan document (adopted local plan or made neighbourhood plan) each local green space is defined in, and the year the plan was adopted or made.
3. The reasons for their designation. The NPPF gives guidance on justifying a local green space designation due to beauty, historical significance, recreational value, tranquillity or richness of wildlife. We would like to know whether the local green space falls into one or more of these categories.
Response
Q1 - Please see the 2015 adopted Hastings Local Plan Policies Map for the location of 2 designated Local Green Spaces. One in located in the east of the borough and is called "Speckled Wood". This site is 48,202 sq.m. The other informally known as "Edinburgh Road" is in the west, and is 5,525 sq.m.
