The Association of Play Industries (API) campaigns for policy recognition of the value of play. Previous years' FOI requests have revealed an alarming decline in the number of public play spaces. We are lobbying Government for increased funding for public playgrounds, MUGAs and outdoor fitness areas. Please can you provide the following information:

1. How many playgrounds were there in your authority area during the financial year 2019/20?
