I would like to know the answers to these two questions:

1. What percentage of successful applicants to all jobs at your council were white males over 50-years-old in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020?

2. What percentage of all applicants to all jobs at your council were white males over 50-years-old in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020?

Hastings Borough Council does not hold the specific information requested.

No information is held for past years.

However, we can provide the following:

During the 6 month period.

We recruited to 27 vacancies for which there were 239 applications out of which:

195 applicants were white (Including White Irish and White Other)

119 were male

77 were over 46*

Of the 27 recruited:

24 were white (see above)

13 were male

10 were over 46

*The age bands on the system we use are 46 - 55, 56 - 59, and over 60
