I am carrying out research on behalf of ****** regarding the keeping or training of animals for exhibition in England. The information gathered will be used to assess the scale and scope of this activity and the welfare impact on animals. 

Please provide me with copies of:

• All licences granted by your local authority between 1^st October 2018 and 31^st October 2020 to operators keeping or training animals for exhibition under The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018. 

• All inspection reports submitted by inspectors to your local authority between 1^st October 2018 and 31^st  October 2020 following inspection of operators applying for a licence to keep or train animals for exhibition under The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018.

For each operator licensed to keep or train animals for exhibition under The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 by your local authority between 1^st October 2018 and 31^st October 2020, please also provide me with the following information:

• The type of the performance(s) i.e. TV/Film/Social Media, Theatre, Circus using Domestic Animals, Exhibiting Animals, Animal Encounters, Bird of Prey shows/exhibits or Other (please state), as reported by the operator in the licence application form;

• The species or species groups that may be used for the performance(s) and the maximum number of each species or species groups that may be used for the performance(s) (please note: this information should already be included in the copies of the licences requested above and is only requested separately if it is not clearly stated in the copies of licences); 

• The approximate duration of the performance(s) and number of times the performance is given in one day, as reported by the operator in the licence application form.
