Requested Fri 14 August 2020
Responded Wed 02 September 2020
Q1 - Please provide information on your corporate group buildings window cleaning contract.
Q2 - What is the (annual) cost of window cleaning (excluding VAT) for your contract? Please provide separate costs.
Q3 - When were the window cleaning contracts awarded and to whom?
Q4 - When are the next review date(s)?
Q5 - Where and what date/month/year will you be advertising your future contracts for window cleaning?
Q6 - What will be the type of buildings and how many of them (approx.) are in the window cleaning contract(s)?
Q7 - If your main window cleaning contract is within your accommodation and building services contract, please state and then confirm if you would allow an SME supplier to tender separately for your cleaning and window cleaning lot?
Q8 - Is there a telephone contact number and email of the procurement office/officer that would deal with this in the future?
Q1. Specialist Hygiene Services Ltd are our cleaning contractors.
Q2. Information not held separately, we are unable to breakdown the cost as it is included in the general clean of each building.
Q3. Contract awarded April 2017.
Q4. Contract expires April 2022.
Q5. For a contract of the nature of our office cleaning one, we would be looking to put a team together around 12 months before expiry of the current contract i.e. beginning of May 2021. This team would decide whether or not to split the contract into lots for main cleaning and window cleaning and at the same time, decide the procurement route.
Q6. Council offices and tenanted offices, approx 11 buildings.
Q7. The council has a procedure for all contracts over £5,000 to consider Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and especially local ones.
Q8. We would welcome you to email us at: email@example.com but would suggest that you contact us via this route regularly from around the beginning of May 2021. We would also like to take this opportunity to draw to your attention our procurement portal that is used by all the councils in East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey and Slough - https://www.sesharedservices.org.uk/esourcing. It is completely free to use (no commission payments of any sort) and should take about 15 minutes to register.
