Please advise the current planning opinion regarding new vehicular access onto The Ridge from land formally 802 The Ridge St Leonards. Although we are aware that no formal planning application has as yet been made, the fact that the site was partially cleared obviously concerns us as our property is directly behind this plot. This plot is directly in line with the mini roundabout at the junction with Harrow Lane and The Ridge which is a busy junction constantly being used by emergency services on route to the Conquest Hospital and any access at this point would certainly be considered as severely dangerous as the speed of traffic going through the mini roundabout can be very fast. We have heard by some of our local neighbours that any new access onto The Ridge would not be permitted can you please confirm this. With the possibility that new proposed regulations may well put the current controls in jeopardy allowing for even more substandard building to take place without proper control structures in place, we would appreciate your views on this.
