Annual spend on security and with subcontractors - £42,026.63.
Annual spend on training- £154,341.70
All the security for Hastings run events are acquired on an ad-hoc basis and these days, extends to more or less only the fish festivals organised by Hastings Borough Council. These costs are visible under all payments over £250 on our transparency pages www.hastings.gov.uk
There is no contract in place for event security. The correct route for the enquirer to contact the council is via procurement@hastings.gov.uk
We would advise registering with the south east shared services portal at: https://www.sesharedservices.org.uk/esourcing
This is completely free at all times, no commission payments taken, it will take approx 15 minutes to complete and is used by all East Sussex, West Sussex and Surrey Councils.
