Responded Mon 23 December 2019I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information.
• How many stray dogs entered pounds between 1st January 2014 and 28th November 2019? • How many of these were reclaimed by their owners? • How many were adopted from the pound? • How many went to an animal rescue centre? • How many were euthanised? • What happened to any remaining dogs that did not fall into the above categories? • Do you keep any records as to the breed of the dogs?

- How many stray dogs entered pounds between 1st January 2014 and 28th November 2019?
Answer: 14/15 - 192, 15/16 - 152, 16/17 - 141, 17/18 - 115, 18/19 - 41.
- How many of these were reclaimed by their owners?
Answer: 14/15 - 141, 15/16 -106, 16/17 - 94, 17/18 - 85, 18/19 - 28.
- How many were adopted from the pound?
Answer: Information not held
- How many went to an animal rescue centre?
Answer: 14/15 -46, 15/16 - 46, 16/17 - 45, 17/18 - 30, 18/19 - 12.
- How many were euthanised?
Answer: 14/15 - 5, 15/16 - 0, 16/17 - 2, 17/18 - 0, 18/19 - 1.
- What happened to any remaining dogs that did not fall into the above categories?
Answer: Information not held
- Do you keep any records as to the breed of the dogs?
Answer: No records kept on breed of dogs.
