I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information:For each of the financial years 2014/15; 2015/16; 2016/17; 2017/18; 2018/19
How many dwellings has the council purchased for the purpose of providing temporary accommodation for homeless people?
How much has been spent making those purchases?
How many of the purchased properties have disabled access (for example for a wheelchair)?
How much money has been set aside in the financial year 2019/20 for the purchase of properties to provide temporary accommodation for homeless people?
2014/15 = 0
2015/16 = 0
2016/17 = 0
2017/18 = 0
2018/19 = 5
Q2 - 2018/19 = £600,000.00
Q3 - 0
In addition: Funds set aside for purchases 2019/20 = £2,500,000.00.
The council is considering properties on a case by case basis, including properties with adaptations, for example wheel chair accessible, stair lifts and wet rooms.
