funding and effectiveness of the Rough Sleepers Initative

Responded Thu 18 April 2019Please supply the following information, relating the to the Rough Sleepers Initative.1. How much funding has been allocated to the initiative?2. Where did that funding come from, central government or other council allocations?3. How has the money been spent so far?4. How many long term rough sleepers have been housed as a result of the spending?
Response
1 - £664,000 was allocated to the Rough Sleeping Initiative in 2018/19. The initiative has a budget of £824,000 in 2019/20.
2 - The initiative was full funded by the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government in 2018/19. Hastings and Eastbourne Councils will be making a contribution of £10,000 to the initiative in 2019/20, together with a further grant from the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government.
3 - A copy of the spend to date is attached. It should be noted that a number of invoices are still outstanding. £14,000 will also be carried over from 2018/19 to 2019/20.
Please note: Salary information has been removed from the attached spreadsheet as this falls under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 'personal data' this is an absolute exemption and will not be provided.
