Responded Fri 07 July 2017Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request access to data held by Hastings Borough Council on injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences that occurred in commercial entities in the UK.
Currently, we're working on a statistical analysis report on employee and public liability of businesses in the UK. Our aim is to understand the likelihood of accidents and injuries happening in commercial entities and the possible measures that can be taken to minimise those risks. The report will only include anonymised data that do not reveal individual or business identity.
Based on the information published on the HSE website, we are aware that your authority collect all of the requested information via the following RIDDOR forms from 1995 to present :

We believe that this data would allow us to gain a better understanding of the regulatory in terms of workplace safety and public safety in businesses, and thereby produce insights that enables better decision-making process in both private and public sectors.
If it is difficult to manipulate the data such that it fits with our requirements as stated above, we would be happy to receive it in the format in which you store the data. The above list of fields are the minimum we would like, but do provide additional fields if that is easier. If the data you store does not extend to 1995, please provide the data for the years that are available. We would also like to receive the data as an Excel/CSV file.
