Play Clubs

Please disclose whether the council places any restrictions on who is able to take children to play clubs. For example: Are nannies and childminders allowed to take children to clubs - or do they have to be with a parent? Please disclose the council’s policy/advice on this and which club/s it applies to.

Response

The Play Hastings team who work within Hastings Borough Council place no restrictions on who can take a child to a play session or event ran by the Play Hastings team. As long as the child is with a responsible adult, the adult doesn’t have to be a family member. Hastings Borough Council themselves do not currently run play clubs. We have no control over what private providers chose to do. Our play team run after school Street play Sessions and Crèches attached to sports sessions. We also deliver large scale Summer play events such as Play Days in the Park.
