Responded Wed 05 December 2018I would greatly appreciate if you could answer the following requests for me:
1) Could you please let me know the licensing department's budget in 2017-2018?
2) What is the local authority's policy or internal guideline on the investigation and prosecution of companies operating without an appropriate House to House charitable collection licence?
3) Could you please let me know (in Excel format) when and how many prosecutions the council pursued against which companies or charities found guilty of carrying out a House to House charitable collection without an appropriate licence since 2010?

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding, we have installed a new Freedom of Information system and have experienced a few problems.
Q1 - In 2017-18 we had an expenditure budget of £266,160 vs. an income budget of (£308,640) giving a net figure of (£42,480).
Q2 - Hastings Borough Council has no specific policy for house to house charitable collections, we operate under our corporate policy, please see following link:
Q3 - No prosecutions since 2010
