FOI request (FOI-76893588)
Footpaths closed
Requested Tue 29 May 2018
Responded Thu 21 June 2018We understand that further closure of footpaths requires the consent of the Secretary of State and cannot be extended indefinitely by temporary closures.
Please confirm that permission has been sought from the Secretary of State for this further closure.
We do not believe that research has been done into ground stability. We have no empirical evidence that the landslip is still moving. Prior to extension of closure empirical evidence is required.
Please provide the evidence that the landslip is still moving and therefore that the footpaths must remain closed.
