Hastings Pier - Cost of three appeals

Responded Wed 15 August 2018Could you please provide me with the details of costs incurred by HBC for the following appeals made by HBC concerning the compensation claims after closure of Hastings pier:
The high court in 2013
The appeal court in 2014
The supreme court in 2016.
The costs incurred should include the following:
- The costs of all legal advice and consultancy commissioned by HBC 2. All other associated external costs to external providers commissioned by HBC 3. Expenses incurred (travel etc) 4. Cost of HBC staff time spent on dealing with the appeals 5. The costs of the other parties in the case which the courts have ruled that HBC must pay

Hastings Borough Council at the time did not have a time recording system in place to record officer time spent on specific projects.
In connection with travel costs, all costs are coded to one cost code therefore we are unable to locate specific journeys.
