Responded Tue 17 February 2026Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please can you provide:
1.The number of households issued a Section 21 notice in the area the council is responsible for that it recorded . Please provide this information for the years 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022 -2023 , 2023 - 2024, 2024- 2025. 2025-2026 and for each month from and including January 2026.to JULY 2026,
2. Of those known to the council how many proceeded to court?
3. Of those known to the council how many proceeded to court and were evicted
4. Of those known to the council how many accepted the eviction and found their own housing solution?
5. Of those known how many household were supported by the council to defeat the eviction or negotiate staying?
6. Of those known how many households sought homelessness help from the council or were recorded in homelessness prevention/relief duties (including threat of homelessness)?
7. How many household were rehoused by the council ?
8. Please provide data on each household size, gender, ages and demographics for each year.
Please provide the data broken down by quarter if possible.

Please see attached spreadsheet2.NOTICE OF REFUSALThe information requested in respect of those known to the council how many proceeded to court would require us to manually check 1289 records, this would far exceed the time limit set out by the Information Commissioner therefore under S12 of the Freedom of information Act 2000 provides an exemption from the obligation to comply with a request for information if the estimated costs of complying with that request would exceed the prescribed appropriate limit.We estimate that the costs of complying with your request would exceed the appropriate limit by a significant amount.For this reason we feel unable to comply with this part of your request.3. Please see response to No 2 above, however, please see attached spreadsheet for information that we can provide4 to 7. Please see attached spreadsheet. This spreadsheet shows households who secured permanent accommodation, it does not show those households the council placed in temporary accommodation.8.
