Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding. 

1 - 4. Please see attached spreadsheet. A few points should be noted. Firstly we do not hold information by calendar years. Like most local authorities our accounting year is 1st April to 31st March and this is how the information is presented. For "total housing expenditure" as noted in 1, the information provided relates to all expenditure within the Housing Directorate.

For 2. It should be noted that the council does not operate a Housing Revenue Account as it transferred its "council housing stock" to Housing Associations in 1996 as part of a Large Scale Voluntary Transfer. It does however own stock that is used for temporary accommodation. These costs have been deducted from total expenditure to give figures for "private related housing". The amounts given in 4 relate to direct grants made to the council relating to Housing, outside the main government settlement.

The Freedom of Information Act is based on recorded information held by a local authority, is is not a tool to ask questions. 

5 - 7. These are questions, therefore, fall outside the remit of the Act.
