Information on PRS enforcement action taken by the council

Responded Thu 03 July 2025I would like to request the following information from May 2018 to May 2025. And I would like the information to be provided year-by-year.
1. How many complaints have been made to the council by private tenants about their home/landlord? (For example, disrepair, harassment, illegal eviction)
2. How many complaints concerned category 1 hazards?
3. How many concerned category 2 hazards?
4. How many concerned landlord harassment?
5. How many concerned illegal eviction?
6. What was the outcome of these complaints? (For example, how many were 'resolved', and what does it mean for a complaint to be 'resolved'?)
7. How many fines have been issued to private landlords? And how much did the fines amount to on average?
8. How many prosecutions of private landlords has the council carried out?
9. How many civil penalties have been issued to private landlords?
10. How many improvement notices, hazard awareness notices and emergency measures notices has the council served to private landlords, respectively?
11. How many banning orders has the council issued to private landlords?
12. For the years that the council operated a selective landlord licensing scheme, how many licence applications were refused, and how many licenses were withdrawn?
