Responded Tue 01 April 2025This is an information request relating to RAAC concrete repairs in all non-residential council-owned buildings.
Please include the following information:
1. The total number of on-residential council-owned buildings constructed with RAAC that are owned or managed by the council.
2. The number of these buildings that are currently in need of repairs or maintenance due to issues with RAAC, broken down annually by the financial years 2021/22, 2022/23, 20223/24, and 2024/25.

4. Any plans or strategies the council has in place to address the issues related to RAAC, including projected costs and timelines for repairs or replacements.
Response
To the best of its knowledge, Hastings Borough Council does not own any buildings containing RAAC.
Any structures considered to possibly contain RAAC have been surveyed by a structural engineer with specialist knowledge and experience of the material and the results were all negative.
Consequently there are no plans, strategies, or ongoing costs to taxpayers required to address issues relating to RAAC.
