Dog Fouling fines for 2024

1. I would like to request the number of fixed penalty notices issued for incidents of dog fouling for the time period of 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024, by month. I understand, as of 2024, someone is now employed to do this so was wondering if data now existed for this.

2. Also, would you be able to tell me the total figure these dog fouling fines come to for each month and year?

3. Again, if possible, could I be given the breakdown of fixed penalty notice figures for each council ward in 2023?

Response

1. Nil.

With reference to the comment 'I understand someone as of 2024 someone is now employed to do this so was wondering if data now existed for this', there is no one specifically employed to issue dog fouling fines but under the PSPO for Dogs it is an offence. The PSPO is part of the enforcement duties carried out by the warden team.

2. Not applicable.

3. No dog fouling FPNs were issued in 2023. There was no dog PSPO in place until 7th November 2023.
