I would like to request the following information regarding an unnamed landlord recently fined £10,000 for failing to provide an Electrical Safety Installation Certificate, as reported by you at your portal and the wider media on 08/08/2024.

1. Landlord Details:

a. Full name of the landlord.

b. Date of birth of the landlord.

c. The number of properties owned by the landlord.

d. Any previous convictions of the landlord related to landlord-tenant matters or property management.

2. Case Details:

a. The date the fine was issued.

b. The date the fine was paid (if applicable).

c. The method of payment for the fine (if applicable).

d. Details of any appeals lodged against the fine.

3. Property Details:

a. The address of the property in question.

Your reasons for not identifying the convicted landlord.

Response

The information you are requesting is exempt under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 'personal data'.

This is an absolute exemption therefore, the public interest test does not apply.
