I am writing to you to submit a Freedom of Information request for the following questions regarding your local authority:

1. How many new homes were completed in your authority in the financial year 2023/24?

2. How many residential development applications received planning permission in the financial year 2023/24?

3. How many residential development applications were rejected planning permission in the financial year 2023/24?

4. How many households were on your housing register on 1st April 2023, and how many are on your housing register as of 1st April 2024?

5. What percentage of residential development planning applications were decided on-time in the financial year 2023/24?

Finally, I would like to request a copy of your latest brownfield land register.

Response

1. Overall net completions were 146, arising from conversion, change of use, redevelopment and new build adjusted by any losses of communal accommodation which reduces the total down to 127.
