In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information.

1. How many council-owned residential properties were empty on 1st January 2024?

2. How many council-owned commercial properties were empty on 1st January 2024?

If you are unable to provide data for 1st January 2024, please can you tell me (a) how many council owned residential properties are currently empty and (b) how many council owned commercial properties are currently empty?

Response

1. The number of council owned residential properties empty on 01/01/24 was 12. Ten of these were recently acquired properties under refurbishment.

2. The number of commercial properties empty on 01/01/24 was 1.
