      Response

      The total number of EV charging stations installed each year, from 2015-2022

      Answer: Hastings Borough Council can only answer about the EV charging stations installed for public use in car parks as we are responsible for off-street parking only.  We installed 14 in 2021 and 7 in 2020.

      On-street parking is dealt with by East Sussex County Council: www.eastsussex.gov.uk  

      The proposed number of EV charging stations to be installed in 2023 

      Answer: As above our response is for off-street parking (car parks) there are no current plans to install more EV chargers.

      The average cost of installing an EV charging station

      Answer: For those in our car park to install the 21 EV chargers cost approx. £65 000 which is about £3,000 per charger.
