We understand that the following Ground Maintenance contract has expired:

• Service ~ Ground Maintenance - Provide grounds maintenance services for Hastings Borough Council and Rother District Council. Will also include provision for highways grass verge cutting for Hastings Borough Council only.

• Contractor ~ Idverde UK

• Expiry date ~ 31/10/2022

Can you advise if a new contract has been/will be awarded for this service and if so what the new contract details are (in the same format as below):

• Service description

• Contract reference number

• Contractor

• Start date

• End date

• Duration and possible extension periods

• Annual or total (please specify) contract value

Response

The Grounds Maintenance contract, which expires on the 5th November 2023, will not be awarded to a new contractor as it is will be an in-house provision.

The highways grass verge cuts will continue to be carried out by East Sussex County Council:
