Please provide information on how many young people/families have been placed in holiday lets by council departments/bodies working on behalf of the council (for example, social services, housing associations, and so on).

Please break this down into which platform was used to book the holiday let (for example, Airbnb, Booking.com).

Please also provide information on total costs of using this type of accommodation.

Further to additional clarification received for this FOI request, Hastings Borough Council (HBC) does not hold information on 16/17 year olds temporary accommodation placements. This is dealt with by East Sussex County Council Children's Services as they make these placements. Please visit their website for further information:

For households aged 18 and over, HBC has never placed households in holiday lets via Airbnb or Booking.com.
