I request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 about Business Rates Accounts held by your Council:

1. Account Name

2. Account Start Date

3. Billing Authority Reference

4. Current 2017 List Rateable Value

5. Details of any reliefs where applied, including a further breakdown if possible of:

a. Type of relief applied

b. Date the relief was applied

c. Value of the relief

6. Full Address of the rated assessment

7. Billing Address

8. Occupied/Empty Status

9. Description

I am aware that the Account Name may be considered personal in some instances so I ask that in these cases you supply the rest of the information provided with the Account name redacted. Also, if there are any aspects of our request you cannot disclose information for, could you please identify them with a reason?

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding.

Please see attached documents. There are 3 separate spreadsheets that contain the information required: full list of current NDR properties/liable parties, current reliefs, and current exemptions. All are in property reference order for ease of cross checking.

NOTICE OF REFUSAL

The information requested in respect of the value of relief rewarded would require us to manually check each customer record, this would far exceed the time limit set out by the Information Commissioner therefore under S12 of the Freedom of information Act 2000 provides an exemption from the obligation to comply with a request for information if the estimated costs of complying with that request would exceed the prescribed appropriate limit.

We estimate that the costs of complying with your request would exceed the appropriate limit by a significant amount.

For this reason we feel unable to comply with this request.
