Cost of bids associated with 'levelling up'

Responded Wed 13 April 2022I am requesting the following information under the Freedom of Information Act.
Could you tell me the amount the authority has spent on producing bids for funding through the schemes named below*, since 2019? Please also provide a breakdown of this figure, for each scheme.
Can you also confirm whether the council hired external contractors to produce all or part of the bid in each instance?
*The Community Renewal fund, Future High Streets, the Levelling Up Fund, and Towns Deals
Response
The Community Renewal fund – bid was prepared by East Sussex County Council rather Hastings Borough Council, please visit their website for further information: www.eastsussex.gov.uk
Future High Street Fund – bid prepared by Hastings Borough Council (HBC) Regeneration Officers Team. Cost of preparing bid submission brochure (external consultancy) was £6000.
Bid was submitted March 2019 Levelling Up Fund - received allocation of £125,000 grant from government to prepare bid.
Will be utilising all the fund to prepare the bid including internal and external resources.
Town Deal - received allocation of £173,029 grant from government to prepare bid.
Bid prepared by bringing in additional staffing resources into to HBC Regeneration Team.
Consultants also employed to assist in the selection and prioritisation of projects and for editing and designing of the bid brochure.
Total external consultancy cost: £33,261.20
