In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, I would be grateful if you could comply with the following request.

Could you provide the following information:

How many formal complaints related to anti-social behaviour has your council received in each of the past three calendar years: 2021, 2020, and 2019?

How many of the formal complaints noted above did your council actively go on to investigate in each of the past three calendar years: 2021, 2020, and 2019?

How many Community Protection Notices and Community Protection Warnings have your council issued in each of the three past calendar years: 2021, 2020, and 2019?

Community Safety

Community Safety records show that that in:

2019 - 5 formal complaints

2020 - 5 formal complaints

2021 - 2 formal complaints

All complaints were investigated.

The very nature of antisocial behaviour shows that there were also a large number of cases of antisocial behaviour that were dealt with jointly by partner agencies (Police, Housing Services, Registered Social Landlords, East Sussex County Council, Fire Services, Mental Health Trust and Mediation). The Council's Community Safety Team participates in a monthly antisocial behaviour case management conference where there are 3 to 10 cases reviewed monthly. Each agency managing the risk associated with the case, reducing the risk from high to medium and standard. This case management system is managed by Sussex Police, more details can be obtained from the police.

2019 - 92 Community Protection Warnings Issued, 42 Community Protection Notices issued

2020 - 62 Community Protection Warnings issued, 36 Community Protection Notices issued

2021 - 60 Community Protection Warnings Issued, 35 Community Protection Notices issued

NOTICE OF REFUSAL

The information requested in respect of Q1 and Q2 would require us to manually check 7000 records, this would far exceed the time limit set out by the Information Commissioner. S12 of the Freedom of information Act 2000 provides an exemption from the obligation to comply with a request for information if the estimated costs of complying with that request would exceed the prescribed appropriate limit.

We estimate that the costs of complying with your request would exceed the appropriate limit by a significant amount.

For this reason we feel unable to comply with this request.
