This is a request about the total number of council-owned buildings and plots of land. The request does not include the housing portfolio.

Could you please provide the total number of buildings and plots of land owned by the authority.

If possible, the data should include the date on which it was purchased, the amount it was purchased for, the person or organisation from whom it was purchased and a current-day valuation of the asset.

NOTICE OF REFUSAL

The information requested in relation to the date on which it was purchased, the amount it was purchased for, the person or organisation from whom it was purchased and a current-day valuation of the asset would far exceed the time limit set out by the Information Commissioner therefore, under S12 of the Freedom of information Act 2000 provides an exemption from the obligation to comply with a request for information if the estimated costs of complying with that request would exceed the prescribed appropriate limit.

We estimate that the costs of complying with your request would exceed the appropriate limit by a significant amount.

For this reason we feel unable to comply with this part of the request.

Much of the land and buildings on our asset register have been owned by Hastings Borough Council for many years.
