This FOI request is for the attention of the council's private rented sector housing team which oversees enforcement in the private rented sector.

1. The total number of Civil Penalties relating to housing offences served to private landlords per year for the following years: 2018/2019, 2019/2020, 2020/2021

2. The average amount of income (£) levied in Civil Penalties relating to housing offences to private landlords per year for the following years: 2018/2019, 2019/2020, 2020/2021

The number of Civil Penalties issued to private landlords in each year for each of the following offences:

a. Failure to comply with an Improvement Notice (section 30 of the Housing Act 2004) Offences in relation to licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation (section 72 of the Housing Act 2004)

b. Offences in relation to licensing of houses under Part 3 of the Act (section 95 of the Housing Act 2004)

c. Offences of contravention of an overcrowding notice (section 139 of the Housing Act 2004)

d. Failure to comply with management regulations in respect of Houses in Multiple Occupation (section 234 of the Housing Act 2004)

e. Banning Orders under the Housing and Planning Act 2016
