Energy consumption

I am looking for data about your luminaries (light bulbs) and if you have a policy with regards to when they are replaced or upgraded.

Do you still use filament bulbs, if so how many?

I would also like to request the energy consumption that your council uses in monthly and yearly formats.

Response

Hastings Borough Council does not have a documented policy regarding lightbulb replacement. We have a very small number of storage spaces and so something like 6 filament bulbs in use that are switched on for the short duration that access is needed.

We spend approximately £250,000 on electricity a year and £50,000 on gas. Unfortunately, we do not have the consumption figures at this time. However, we have identified and are in the process of purchasing a system where this information will be reportable. It is suggested you may like to enquire again in a few months time.
