I am keen to know the extent to which tackling food poverty/insecurity is embedded in what the council does.

I am interested in knowing:

1. Is there a Cabinet Portfolio holder with responsibility for food poverty?

2. Is the council part of a Food Partnership or Food Alliance which covers the boundaries of the council?

Response

1. No, Hastings Borough Council does not have a Cabinet portfolio holder that has specific responsibility for food poverty.

2. No, however, we are part of discussions around food as part of the Hastings community hub work
