I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and am requesting information from your Council.

I am after information relating to fines issued for idling vehicle engines within your council. In particular, are you able to provide me with:

1)   How many Fixed Penalty Notices or Penalty Charge Notices has your council issued to motorists who have unnecessarily left their engine idling when stationary – a violation of the The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986.

2)   Does your council have a system in place where users can report motorists who leave their engines unnecessarily idling to the council?

2020 – up to the latest month available.
