Draft LNR byelaws - consultation with the East Sussex Local Access Forum

Responded Wed 25 March 2020The East Sussex Local Access Forum (ESLAF) advises on a range of issues concerning people using the countryside for recreation. This is a requirement of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.
The England Coast Path will soon be implemented , this implements right to roam in the Coastal Margin under CROW 2000 legislation. ESLAF are the body responsible for regulating access under CROW 2000.
Proposed new byelaws for Hastings Country Park restrict access to the areas designated as Coastal Margin in the England Coast Path. 35% of the Coastal Margin will have access rights restricted by the new byelaws.
Please provide the following:
1. Confirmation that HBC have consulted with ESLAF on the new byelaws
2. The date that consultation took place
3, Copies of all correspondence between ESLAF and HBC concerning the new byelaws

1. The East Sussex Local Access Forum (ESLAF) were not specifically consulted but the byelaws were subject to public consultation where groups such as ESLAF had the opportunity to comment.2. The consultation took place from December 2014 until the end of February 2015.3. Information not held. -
